Daybed

I have a thing for daybeds. Especially the old used brown leather ones. I think it would look great at home in our livingroom. Its so big that we need large furniture to fill out some of the space. But my only question is; how do you use it? It does not look very inviting to lay on. They are usually very low which makes it uncomfortably to sit on a longer period of time. Is a daybed something that looks nice, but tha ís all? I don´t know, I still want one...
